Kona Aroma by Dottie Kerr

Dottie's Kona Aroma Soap Recipe

Mine is a working soap, and work it does in my kitchen! I use this natural coffee soap to help dissolve odors on my hands while working in my kitchen. I Love garlic and onions, however, I don't want to smell of them all day! The color of this soap comes naturally from the Coffee EO so when it is used, it will sometimes get a white film on it; it won't hurt a thing but do keep it high and dry between uses for best results. I love natural ingredients and this EO is no exception. Something about the smell of Coffee is just sooo exhilarating!

Base Ingredients

  • 33 oz Palm oil
  • 18 oz Extra Virgin Olive oil
  • 16 oz Emu oil
  • 15 oz Coconut oil
  •   5 oz Castor oil
  • 24.2 oz Double Strength Coffee with 2 Tblsps. Turbinado Sugar
  • 11.9 oz NaOH*

Scented with

  •   1 oz Coffee essential oil

Additives

  • 5 Tblsps. Kona Beans
  • Vitamin E (Tocopherol)
Note:

*Please run through lye calculator, I came up with big variance between two calculators.
