Gardener's Scrubby Stick by Janet Sprague

Janet's Gardener's Scrubby Stick Soap Recipe

Living in a rural area, there is always the temptation to get your hands dirty.  This is a soap with a little extra scrubbing power to get the last bit of dirt off your hands. A soap that works !

Base Ingredients

  • 800 g Coconut oil (40%)
  • 800 g Olive oil (40%)
  • 200 g Castor oil (10%)
  • 100 g Almond oil (5%)
  • 100 g Evening Primrose oil (5%)
  • 750 g Distilled Water
  • NaOH

Additives

  • 1 cup oatmeal
  • 1 cup ground coffee

Scented with

  • 2.0 oz Sweetcakes Special Edition Vanilla
  • 0.5 oz Special Edition Vanilla
  • 1.5 oz Bramble Berry Bay Rum

Method: -

I made this in 2 batches with half the ingredients in each batch. Fragrance in the first batch was with the 2 oz of vanilla. Fragrance in the second batch was with the 0.5 oz vanilla and 1.5 oz bay rum.

Hot Processed in a Crock pot.
