NAME's Soap Recipe
Zen Cowboy by Kelly May
Ok, here's my recipe....which as you can see, is called Zen Cowboy. Now here's the thing....
I felt the scent of this soap was very Zennish, hence covering the Zen aspect of our 'Dual Theme' AND
....I believe this soap would be a wonderful washer of dirty, dusty Cowboys, perhaps it may even attract
a Cowgirl or two, thereby covering the Soaps for Jobs theme * chuckles*
Grab and measure out all this stuff below and you're home and hosed!!!
Base Ingredients
- 816 g Olive oil
- 600 g Coconut oil
- 600 g Tallow
- 120 g Mango Butter
- 120 g Corn oil
- 120 g Rice Bran oil
- 24 g Stearic Acid
- 670 g Water
- 330 g NaOH [7% superfat]
Temps
At light trace
- 1 Tbspn each of Red and Yellow Clays,
- 3 tspns Coconut milk powder,
- 1 Tbspn Oatbran,
- 1 Tbspn ground citrus peel, all blended with 50 gm of Aloe Juice
- EO's and FO's were warmed slightly before adding to pot.
OK, this Saddlepack Soap is scented with the following:
- 40 mls Sandalwood essential oil
- 20 mls Neroli essential oil
- 8 mls Rosemary essential oil
- 6 mls Amber fragrance oil
- 4 mls May Chang essential oil
- 4 mls Fir oil
- 4 mls Palmarosa essential oil
- 3 mls Apothecary Musk fragrant oil
- 2 mls Clary Sage essential oil
- 2 mls Basil essential oil
- 1 pinky fingernail-sized blob of Oakmoss absolute
I didn't quite use all of this blend - had some left over.
