Global Village by Merinda Air

Merinda's One World Soap recipe

I struggled with a name which was sort of Zen and couldn't think of one so settled with Global Village. I used oils representing various continents and areas with a mild fragrance of orange as an orange is round and is also available throughout the world.

Base Ingredients

  • 800 g Macadamia Oil    [Australia]
  • 600 g Olive Oil             [Europe]
  • 300 g Coconut Oil         [Pacific]
  • 100 g Rice Bran Oil       [Central Asia]
  •   50 g Jojoba Oil           [North America]
  •   50 g Castor Oil            [Indian Sub-continent]
  •   50 g Cocoa Butter       [Pacific]
  •   50 g Shea Butter         [Africa]
  • Water [as required]
  • 270 g NaOH [about 5% superfat]

Additive & scented with

  • Approx 10 ml Sweet Orange essential oil (I feel that more can be added).
  • 1 Tblspn dried orange peel.

Method

To maintain universality, I used toilet rolls as the molds.

regards, Merinda
