Zen of Rebatch called Monkey Farts by Synthia Dickens - USA Host 2005
Monkey Farts----Well I scratched my head and scratched my head about what to send. There sat that batch screaming at
me you know bouncing up and down waving his little arms "pick me, pick me", so I did. There is certain Zenness to having bananas,
mangos, coconuts and remaking them into, in this case, farts, you could attribute it to my warped sense of humor :-)).
Base Ingredients
This is a rebatch of 2 lbs of an old peach soap grated and from odds and ends of trimmings and scraps.
The orginal peach soap was made with
- 32 oz shortening
- 8 oz Coconut oil
- 8 oz Olive oil
- 8 oz Palm oil
- 1 oz castor oil
- Water
- NaOH [2% superfat]
- pinch of Silk fibers
Scented with
Rebatch Method with Additional ingredients
I placed the grated soap to be rebatched in a slow cooker crock pot. Sprinkled the grated soap with a couple of oz of
organic coconut milk. Let warm for half an hour, stirred, sprinkled more coconut milk over it, and continued this
fashion of warming, melting and adding until I used up 12 oz of the coconut milk. Each time the milk was sprinkled on,
I was adding only a couple of oz at a time.
When the grated soap was fully melted, I added the fragrance oil called Monkey Fart. The description is: "This unique fragrance begins with top notes of fresh bananas and juicy grapefruit, middle note of kiwi, juicy bubble gum, and strawberries, and a hint of vanilla as a base note."
Mold, let cool, then slice up.
