Shelley's Soap Recipe
Shelley's ISS6 Java & Kefir Suds
My inspiration comes from my usual routine, first thing in the morning, and last thing at night LOL Yep, you guessed it... have a cup of coffee and read the soap making lists! I also used two things that I would have never heard about or used unless I had heard about them on the
- Coconut: 400.00 g
- Palm Kernel: 600.00 g
- Olive, pure: 1400.00 g
- Safflower - Regular: 300.00 g
- Rice Bran: 300.00 g
- Lye(5% SF): 412.59 g
- first batch water at 35%LC: 767 g
- first batch additional kefir at 150 g
- second batch had the water based at a 33% LC (837 g)
- Nal 60 g
2 batches, original with 25 ml macadamia nut oil, and the second one not scented at all, but with 1/2 cup of ground coffee that I put in with the oils when they were melting. I chunked up the first batch and put it in with the second batch.
I've used this in the shower as a body bar, and boy did it feel nice! Like I was scrubbing with a firm brush :-)))) As it wore down though it was really only suitable for a hand cleaning bar. Unless of course you have a really thick skin :-) Sigh.
