Milk soaps are famous for having the tendency to overheat and develop a dark, toffee to chocolate brown color. This recipe illustrates how to make goat's milk, or any other milk soap, so that the resulting soap remains creamy coloured. Oil amounts can be adjusted, and different oils (or different amounts of the base oils listed above) can be used. If you choose to do this, remember to run the recipe through a lye calculator, to make sure you are using the correct amount of caustic soda for the chosen combination of oils.
