Soap made on 24 September 2002
This soap recipe is a challenge to the theory of INS values :-)
Because of the environmental problems created by extensive palm plantations --especially in the Asia Pacific area, I have been working for a few months on recipes using as little palm oil as possible (if any), and have been relying on coconut for hardness and lather. In order to keep my recipe in line with the theme of the swap, and since coconut has very little to do with either Australia or Italy... I decided to disregard some of the traditional vegetable soap "rules", and get rid of coconut, too (and I would like to thank Helen, for giving me the final "push" in this direction! :-)
This recipe uses DWCP (Discounted Water Cold Process) and is therefore only suitable for expert soapmakers

The Soap Naturally Swap project and all the soap recipes for soap swaps held between 2000 and 2005, are made available thanks to the invaluable help of Helen Brosche (HTML formatting, Web editing) and Shelley Bordeleau, of Bordeleau's Bubbles, (general co-ordination, supervision, editing, HTML).
