Shelley Bordeleau's Soap Recipe
Golden Maple Milk'n'Oats Soap by Shelley Bordeleau
Although maple syrup isn't strictly Canadian.... it does come from the province my hubby was raised in :-) The valley I live in has loads of dairy farms, so milk and oats just seem to go hand in hand with a soap from the area I live in :-)
Ingredients [*]
- Palm Kernel
- Cocoa Butter
- Safflower - Regular
- Almond
- Castor
- Olive, pure (part was infused in calendula petals)
- distilled water
- large pinch of silk
- marshmallow root tea
- Lye (5% SF)
- GM powder and Collidial Oatmeal, dissolved in water & maple syrup.
- Vanilla FO at trace.
My goal was to have a golden beige soap, reminicent of fall leaves turning color, and healing ingredients of milk and calendula for the skin. I think I suceeded!
