The Soap Naturally mailing list, based in Australia for the enjoyment of Australian and international soap and toiletry makers, focusses on natural soapmaking and skin care products that are good for the skin and respect the environment. Through Soap Naturally, soap makers and toiletry-makers (both expert and beginners) meet to exchange ideas, experiences and opinions, as well as to help each other in the problem-solving department.

As customary with email mailing lists (aka "discussion lists" or "discussion groups"), you will start receiving messages from the list as soon as the subscription process is completed. Since Soap Naturally is a high volume mailing list, you should be prepared to receive up to 50 messages a day. If you prefer to keep the email volume down, you can choose the "Digest" option - which is, only one email message containing the last 20 or so messages.

Please note:

Because some so-called "free email services" do not handle correctly messages from traditional mailing lists, subscription requests from generic email addresses (for instance, email@yahoo or email@hotmail) cannot be processed.
This list is moderated. Please refer to the posting guidelines for a brief description of the principles of this list (a link to a page with more detailed information is supplied in this short guide).
Advertising is not allowed in postings to the list. A directory of specialised soap suppliers is available for both members and non-members, and is your best starting point if you are looking at purchasing ingredients to make your own natural soap and toiletries. The Soap Naturally mailing list also supports and encourages co-ops and group buys, which give list member access to the best ingredients for the best price. Co-ops and group buys must be pre-approved by the list owners before posting to the list.
